It's official. I'm old. DAMMITTTT!
One of the girls that I work with just called me to tell me that she met these very nice young people at "The Factory" last night, and one of the young ladies told her that she seemed very friendly, and that she must work with people. She told her "I work in radio." and the girl said "At XXXXX (insert name of company)?? That's where my Aunt Marla works!"
Coworker said "You're too old to be Marla's niece!!!"
Coworker rocks now, for defending my aging status like that. Of course, I am only 32, and it doesn't seem like I AM old enough to have a 20 year old niece, but, them's the breaks when you have a sister that is older and she gets knocked up and has a kid when you're twelve.
Rikki turns 21 next February. After that, I shall never go out again. I think I would freak out a little if I saw my niece drinking or dancing all over some guy at a bar. I used to change her diapers, dammit!

I heard a radio ad which said that anyone 30 years old shouldn't be sending text messages. So how old do they think the inventor of text-messaging is? 13? Actually I am much happier now that I am 30, I actually have money to spend on fun, and I am smart enough to stay out of trouble, both things that were not true of my 20s. And besides now with modern medicine and nutrition, I plan to live to 150! Old, dream on!
